Fukui Awara Onsen: Goldfish Workshop and Photo Spot Adding Color to the Summer Festival

Fukui Awara Onsen: Goldfish Workshop and Photo Spot Adding Color to the Summer Festival (2025.8.16 - 8.17)

In August 2025, we participated in the summer festival "Bon Dance" held at "Aflare" in Awara City, Fukui Prefecture. Unlike the exhibitions in Shinjuku and Kokura Castle, we cherished the form of "enjoying together with customers" amidst the liveliness of the festival.

Creative "Furoshiki Drawing Experience"

At the venue, we held a "Furoshiki (wrapping cloth) Workshop" that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults. It was impressive to see children engrossed in the work of putting their own colors on a pure white cloth with their own hands. Seeing them carefully spreading the one-and-only furoshiki in the world that they drew themselves, I felt the pure joy of expression again.

Goldfish Photo Spot Blending into the Festival

Inside the venue, we set up a simple photo spot using our works. It was prepared as a place where you can easily stop by while enjoying the festival, rather than something large-scale. However, the scene of visitors in yukata enjoying taking precious photos with goldfish in the background added even more color to the venue.

Realizing the Expansion of Activities

It was two days where we could interact with many people through photo spots and workshops in a new place called Fukui Prefecture. Changing its form to fit the place and becoming part of the memories of visitors. I felt that the activities of Jun*Juane led to a new step forward, and it was a memorable time at Awara Onsen.
