Kanda Town "So": Exhibition and Sales of Furoshiki and Noren, where Japanese Culture and Sustainability Blend

Kanda Town "So": Exhibition and Sales of Furoshiki and Noren, where Japanese Culture and Sustainability Blend (2025.10.27)

On October 27, 2025, we opened a store at an event held at "So" in Kanda Town, Fukuoka Prefecture. Following the sales in Shinjuku, this time, along with the sales of large-format Furoshiki, we also exhibited Noren (curtains) that color the space, delivering the worldview of Japanese culture that Jun*Juane cherishes.

Delivering the Story of Fabric to the Region

The products exhibited and sold are those that have breathed new value into high-quality surplus fabrics that would not have otherwise seen the light of day. This activity can be continued thanks to the kindness of the companies that allowed us to visit the factory and taught us directly about the process of making the fabric and the passion of the craftsmen. I generally feel deep gratitude for being able to deliver the thought of "wanting to cherish the fabric" heard at the site in the form of a single Furoshiki or Noren.

Wisdom of Harmony that Wraps and Protects Living

At the venue, we proposed how the traditional Japanese "wrapping" culture snuggles up to modern sustainable living. Large-format Furoshiki is not only enjoyed as daily bags and fashion, but also becomes a multifunctional preparation that can be used as a tool to protect oneself in the event of a disaster. Also, the Noren exhibited this time is packed with the wisdom of harmony to partition and arrange the space. It was a very precious time to be able to convey such "sustainability dwelling in Japanese culture" while having repeated dialogues with the visitors.
