Projector Ballet x Goldfish Photo Session (2023.8.9)

On August 9, 2023, we held a new experimental photo session at the Shinjuku Marui venue.

Fusion of Light and Body

This time, we projected Jun Iwasaki's goldfish photos largely onto the wall of the venue using a projector. A ballet dancer wearing costumes from the ballet costume specialty store "angemignon" entered that vivid light and danced.

Expression Melting Boundaries

The colors and swaying of the projected goldfish overlapped with the supple movements of the dancer, creating a fantastical space where the boundary between the background and the subject melted away.

The figure of a goldfish dancing in the water and ballet dancing in the light. By multiplying digital technology and physical expression, we were able to express the affinity between the two that Jun*Juane feels more deeply.

The photograph is not just a background, but integrates with the dance to become one work. It was a day when we were convinced of the possibility of new expression as Jun*Juane.
