Shinjuku Marui Main Building 8F: Goldfish Kept Swimming by the Shop Owner's Thoughts

Shinjuku Marui Main Building 8F: Goldfish Kept Swimming by the Shop Owner's Thoughts (2025.3.13 - 9.30)

For about half a year from March 13 to September 30, 2025, Jun*Juane's works were displayed at the BSP event corner on the 8th floor of Shinjuku Marui Main Building.

Special Exhibition Changed by the Shop Owner's Sensibility

This exhibition was not a "exhibition" created under our initiative. It started from the truly grateful kindness of the shop owner who genuinely likes our works.

What surprised us was that the shop owner voluntarily replaced and displayed the works based on their feelings at that time. Even when we couldn't be directly involved, new works were lined up by the shop owner's hands, keeping the space always fresh. We have nothing but deep gratitude that the works were loved and treated with care beyond formal "contracts" or "plans".

New Encounters Brought by Unexpected Changes

With works being replaced irregularly over a long period of half a year, there was always a mysterious live feeling in the venue. The goldfish selected and arranged from the shop owner's perspective might have shone differently from how we display them. In the daily scenery of a department store, we hope that the goldfish swimming with the shop owner's thoughts caught the eyes of many people and healed someone's heart.

Closing the Curtains with Gratitude

On September 30th, this special time of half a year came to a pause. The shop owner who not only lent us the place but also moved their hands to deliver the works, and all the staff who watched over us warmly. It was truly wonderful days kept alive by people's kindness, symbolizing a "life of gratitude".

Cherishing the warm connections we received at this place, Jun*Juane would like to continue delivering expressions unique to us.
