Reiwa Aquascape: Eighth Scene "The Mystery of Self-Checkout & The Death Match with the Barcode"

I think people's personalities really come out when waiting for the register...

[Commentary]

Work Name:
Reiwa Aquascape: Eighth Scene "The Mystery of Self-Checkout & The Death Match with the Barcode"
Starring:
A Ryukin glaring at the latest mechanism, and the following group rushing him with smartphones in hand saying "Not yet?"
Special Note:
Is it the barcode that cannot be read, or the true intention of civilization ? The despair until calling the attendant is just like drowning.

Roll up, roll up! This is the diagram of the lonely battle named "Self-Checkout" unfolding in a corner of the city, a modern labyrinth.Though they challenged it in high spirits thinking "It should be faster to do it myself," once standing before the machine, the goldfish completely turn into lost children.

Look at this desperate profile.Twisting the product bag held in the fin to the right, tilting left, turning over, the mechanism just ignores it with a pout.In the end, even stretching the bag taut to challenge, the only return is a heartless error sound, and finally the words "Call Attendant" light up red on the lantern overhead, becoming a public spectacle announcing their own unfamiliarity to the surroundings.

What adds insult to injury is the line behind. The goldfish lining up, smartphone in hand, glare at the screen thinking "Ah, is it this time already," pressing the line with silent sighs.Just waiting with dropped shoulders for the frog acting as attendant to finally appear and leisurely release it.Eating up far more time than lining up at a manned register, and bearing deep wounds in the heart... truly a comedy of Reiwa.

Please enjoy the figures of the goldfish, humorous and beloved, who pursue convenience while accepting inconvenience.
